LITTLE GIRL IN A GARDEN
This is a WOW! puzzle of just over 850 colourful pieces. The puzzle is big (25" tall)and more difficult than it looks with so many areas of mixed colour, some interlocking and a lot of beautiful cutting. We were so pleased with the outcome and, you must agree, it is a "BEAUT"! PRICE: £200.00 RESERVED FOR RVS

VICTORY - PICCADILLY CIRCUS
This is one of the "London View Series" produced by Victory, circa 1950, I believe. It is a 200 piece jigsaw, complete and in great condition and in a great box. The picture itself is pre-war and very interesting because of the buses and costume. PRICE: £20.00

THE MANOR FLANSHAM ZIG-ZAG PUZZLE
This is a lovely, complete (except for two knobs and a tiny bit of paper) 150 Zig-Zag puzzle of the house and garden known as the Manor, Flansham. In the manner of many Zig-Zags, it has a few whimsies. PRICE: £15.00

CLOVELLY - by PHOTOCHROM (?)
How strange! I just sell one picture of Clovelly and I get another! This one was in a bag, so no maker's name but from the cut and picture (a photo), I believe it's by Photochrom. This one is wooden, bigger (11.5" x 15.25") and shinier and 300 pieces. It is complete except for a few tiny paper losses and a tiny cutting error. PRICE: £30.00

SUMMER BLOOMS
This is a puzzle by a company called R.W. Hall. It is complete with 150 pieces but one has been damaged by a dog. The picture is pretty, though. £12.00

GWR - THE RAILWAY STATION (TWIN PUZZLES) (NO. 003)
This is a relatively rare set of two 75 piece jigsaws which were made for GWR by Chad Valley first in 1926 and withdrawn in 1929. They both show Paddington station - the top one by Frith (1862), the other by Tony Royale(1926). Each of these is missing one edge piece and they are not in their original box but it may be that you need these to complete your collection! £25.00

POLO STUDY - a puzzle by Chad Valley
This good looking puzzle is made by Chad Valley and has 225 pieces in great condition. It was made between 1935 and 1937 when many more people played polo - even my mother at school! PRICE: £22.50

BY DOCTOR'S ORDERS!
This is a nice 300 piece jigsaw - quite difficult and, ultimately, hugely satisfying! It is a picture by Florence England Nosworthy, an American female illustrator who was born in the last quarter of the nineteenth century and worked until the thirties. The puzzle is solid wood and the picture has on it (in minute writing) COPYRIGHT 190? R. HILL (I can't see the last digit as it is on a cut). It measures 12" x 16.5", has 2 re-made pieces and 2 missing pieces. The jigsaws we're doing at the moment are all from the same source and seem to have been shared by about 12 or 15 different people from the 1950's until fairly recently....it may have been a small puzzle library somewhere in England. PRICE: £50.00

OFF MADEIRA
This is quite a lovely 300 piece jigsaw by Delta. It comes in its original 1930's box which is in great condition with a coloured guide picture on the lid. £30.00

TSS MATIANA AND ANOTHER SHIP
I'm not certain about the maker of this puzzle. It came in an old chocolate box with chrysanthemums on the lid. It is probable, though, that it is one of Chad Valley's puzzles for the British India Steam Navigation Co. Ltd. There are between 150 and 200 pieces and it measures about 16" x 12". The artist was Charles Dixon and this is the same picture done for Chad Valley. The cut is unlike the GWR puzzles but I can see, in Tom Tyler's
Chad Valley's Advertising Jigsaw Puzzles that the cut of this and other puzzles in the range is different from the train and Cunard puzzles. Whoever made it, it's an interesting example, complete and well-made. PRICE: £30.00

VICTORY IDYLLIC SCENE
This is an 800 piece Victory puzzle dating from the end of the 50's into the early 60's. It doesn't have a name and, though there is a picture on the lid, this isn't an exact copy of the puzzle. The puzzle wasn't as easy as you might think, mainly because of all those yellow leaves. It is complete and in excellent condition as is the box. PRICE: £80.00

SILVERY MOON
This is a gorgeous 550+ piece puzzle by a real artist in the cutting of jigsaws! The fit is beautiful and yet there are no broken knobs (though, there is a little tiny bit missing off one piece in the top right hand corner), the picture is lovely and it is signed by an artist - whose name I cannot read. I don't know who made this puzzle - the box is a plain one that has been covered with a fancy paper with a label that says Silvery Moon and the number of pieces. It's difficult with all those acute angled knobs and well-worth-doing! PRICE: £60.00

ACADEMY - BEFORE THE HUNT
Hunting pictures must, at one time, have been very popular as many puzzles featuring hunting seem to have been made. This is another. This puzzle was made by Salmon's Academy, probably in the 30's. It is complete with approx. 150 pieces and in its original Academy box. PRICE: £18.00

LAKESIDE IN BLOSSOMTIME
This is a gorgeous 500 piece Delta jigsaw entitled LAKESIDE IN BLOSSOMTIME which is part of their Mediterranean in Full Bloom series. It must date from the mid-1920's and is complete in its original Delta box with the picture of the husband, wife and two children working a puzzle on the lid. There are a few broken but present knobs and one broken and missing. There are a further two slivers missing as well but they are almost too small to see! and could have been lost in the cutting. PRICE: £70.00
